When Spiders
Spin Dusk

Website for «When Spiders Spin Dusk», an exhibition and research project that rethinks intelligence and knowledge systems in the age of AI from an ecological point of view. Curator Junghyun Kim and the Canadian research organisation UKAI Projects worked with six artists and teams through research and residencies from June 2024.

Web development of the whole site, in Korean and English: a language switch that remembers the reader’s choice; a home page whose layered title moves at different speeds as you scroll; a research section — the curatorial and collaborator’s statements, the artists’ research articles, interviews — filtered by keyword tags in both languages, with notes set in the margin of each text; an archive of the residency, day by day, whose images and videos open in a lightbox; and a reference list read live from a shared spreadsheet, so the team can update it without touching the site.

사이트 전체를 한국어와 영어로 개발했습니다. 고른 언어를 기억하는 언어 전환, 스크롤에 따라 여러 겹의 제목이 서로 다른 속도로 움직이는 첫 화면, 기획의 글과 작가들의 리서치 아티클, 인터뷰를 두 언어의 키워드 태그로 걸러 보는 리서치 섹션과 여백에 주석을 둔 글 페이지, 레지던시를 날짜별로 기록하고 이미지와 영상을 라이트박스로 여는 아카이브, 공유 스프레드시트에서 바로 읽어 와 팀이 사이트를 건드리지 않고 고칠 수 있는 레퍼런스 목록을 만들었습니다.

The graphic identity — title, colour and typography — is by formless twins; the site carries it onto the screen.
